'1759" (1999) $1 Martha Washington Dollar, Judd-2185, Pollock-Unlisted, MS66 NGC
The Edward R. Grove Martha Washington design, previously used to test clad coinage circa 1965, was revived in 1999 to test "golden" alloys for the pending Sacagawea dollar. Neither the weight nor the composition is stated on this example; however, we assume it was struck in manganese-brass-coated copper-clad metal with a plain edge.
